Thirsty No More: Philanthropist Rice Ahmed Delivers Lifesaving Boreholes to Panda Communities

Philanthropist Mr. Rice Ahmed has brought relief to Kajin and Shinkafa communities in Panda with the drilling of two boreholes, providing access to clean water.
The communities, which had never had such infrastructure, are now benefiting from improved health and hygiene.
Mr. Ahmed, who facilitated the project, thanked politicians, particularly Jonathan Gaza, and organizations for their support.

At a thanksgiving and commissioning ceremony, Mr. Ahmed revealed that huge sums were invested in bringing water to the communities, which had never had such infrastructure before and advised the communities to take ownership and maintain the boreholes for sustainability.
“We’ve not seen boreholes since our inception, but thanks to Jonathan Gaza’s contribution,” he said, leading prayers for the benefactor.

The commissioning turned to traditional dance occasion with the Christmas and new Year celebrations as people of the community came out with their traditional attire to show case their cultural heritage.
The boreholes mark a milestone in improving living standards, health, and hygiene in Kajin and Shinkafa.
