PDP Vows to Reclaim Lugard House in 2027, Declares Kogi a PDP State – State Chairman, Gambo
The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has declared that nothing will stop it from wresting power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and taking over Lugard House in the 2027 governorship election.
State PDP Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, who spoke to newsmen in Lokoja, insisted that the APC’s time in office is up, urging the ruling party to begin preparing its handover notes.

Gambo expressed confidence in the PDP’s robust structures across Kogi and Nigeria, adding that the party is also poised to reclaim Aso Rock in 2027. “Kogi is a PDP state,” he declared, harking back to the party’s previous era of governance which he described as a period of prosperity.
The electorate, according to him, is yearning for the PDP’s return. He recalled: “Our structure is still everywhere in the state. If you blow the whistle any day, anytime, in a free and fair election, the PDP will win landslide.”
Gambo warned the APC: “The time for the APC government to pack her load from Lugard House is 2027. It is a call for no retreat, no surrender.”
He appealed to Kogi residents to remain faithful to the PDP, stay peaceful, and support ongoing security efforts. “Let’s remain calm and focused. This is not a time for distraction. Let’s be peaceful and law-abiding,” he urged.
Lamenting the rising insecurity in the state, the chairman pledged the PDP’s readiness to collaborate with the government. “It is unfortunate that insecurity has overwhelmed us. There must be a state before a political party,” he stressed, calling on citizens to support government strategies and policies.
Gambo reiterated that Kogi citizens have resolved to vote PDP in 2027, assuring a landslide victory and reaffirming that the state has remained a PDP stronghold since 1999.
