Islamic Cleric Slams Mararaba Land Grabbers, Demands Swift Authority Crackdown
A sermon delivered at the Usman Bin Affan Mosque in Rugan Madaki, Karu Local Government Area, has condemned land grabbing activities in Maraba and its surroundings, calling on authorities to take immediate action.

The sermon, delivered by Mallam Yusuf Musa appealed to law enforcement agencies to respect the rights of landowners, who are being deprived of their dignity and rights.
The mosque urged the authorities to restore peace to Karu Local Government Area and Nasarawa State, citing the chaos and bloodshed caused by land grabbing activities.
The message demanded that authorities take immediate action to address the issue, saying “We demand that the authorities take immediate action and heed our message.”

The cleric warned that if measures are not taken to prevent land grabbing, it could exacerbate the existing insecurity in the area and urged residents to remain law-abiding and cooperate with authorities, rather than taking the law into their own hands.

The village head of Rugan Madaki, Mararaba, Karu local government area Comrade Tanko Zaka, has condemned the activities of individuals involved in land grabbing, urging the government to take action to stop the practice.
Chief Zaka stated that the act has become widespread in Maraba and surrounding communities, causing concern among residents and appealed to the authorities to intervene and put an end to the practice, which is depriving rightful owners of their land and dignity.
