Christmas and New Year Message to the People of Delta State and Nigerians.
My dear people of Delta State and fellow Nigerians,
As we celebrate Christmas and prepare to step into a new year, I extend my warmest greetings to you and your families. Christmas reminds us of love, sacrifice, humility, and hope, as exemplified by the Lord Jesus Christ. These values remain timeless and are urgently needed in our homes, our communities, and our nation.
The Holy Scriptures capture the true essence of this season in Luke 2:14, which says, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” This divine message reflects the very foundation of Christmas and calls us to pursue peace, unity, and compassion in our daily lives and national affairs.
The past year has tested our resilience as a people. Many families have faced economic pressure, insecurity, and uncertainty about the future. Yet, in spite of these challenges, Nigerians have continued to show strength, faith, and an unbreakable spirit. This resilience is our greatest national asset.
To the people of Delta State, I salute your patience and perseverance. Our state is blessed with human capacity, natural resources, and cultural strength. What we require now, more than ever, is unity of purpose, responsible leadership, and collective commitment to building a Delta State that works for all, regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences.
As we enter the new year, I urge us to renew our faith in God, believe in the future of our nation, and recommit ourselves to peace, hard work, and civic responsibility. Leaders at all levels must put the people first, govern with integrity, and pursue policies that promote fairness, security, and economic opportunity.
I call on our youths not to lose hope. Your energy, creativity, and determination are critical to the future of Nigeria. Channel your strength positively, stay focused, and prepare yourselves to take up leadership with character and vision.
May this Christmas bring peace to our land, comfort to every troubled heart, and joy to every home. May the new year usher in renewed hope, economic recovery, improved security, and greater unity for Delta State and Nigeria at large.
I wish you a peaceful Christmas celebration and a prosperous, purposeful New Year.
God bless Delta State. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed:
H.E. Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq. FSPSP.
Immediate Past Deputy Governor ,
Delta State.
