Benue Guber 2027: Iwarnyam PDP stakeholders back Ato to complete Adasu’s tenure

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Iwarnyam Council Ward in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, have declared support for Engr. Peter Terwase Tortiv-Ato’s 2027 governorship ambition. They believe his emergence would complete the truncated tenure of the late Reverend Father Moses Adasu.

Speaking at the event, former Chairman of Konshisha Local Government and ward party leader, Hon Christiana Amile, described Ato’s ambition as divine to complete Adasu’s truncated tenure, urging him to remain prayerful while assuring him of the ward’s total support in the governorship election.
Also speaking, the Iwarnyam ward PDP Chairman, Dekuku Agbemji, stated that Ato’s governorship bid is a family project that deserves every support to succeed and called on the people of the ward to support Ato irrespective of political differences.
In their separate remarks, Konshisha PDP Deputy Chairman, Joshua Yagba, Iwarnyam ward PDP Woman Leader, Mercy Tachin, ward Youth Leader, Tersoo Tarza, and other stakeholders, including Philip Doji, Solomon Sule Bo, Elders Tony Yaror and Benjamin Tso, commended Ato for his governorship ambition, describing him as humble, respectful and hardworking with the requisite experience to govern the State.
They also prayed for his success in ongoing consultations and urged eligible voters in the ward without a Permanent Voter Card to participate in the ongoing voter registration to ensure higher voter turnout for Ato at the polls.
Earlier in his remarks, Ato stated that his decision to contest the 2027 governorship election was driven by the yearnings of Benue people for good governance, a government that would prioritise security and development of the State for shared prosperity.
He emphasised that Benue’s challenges are surmountable, and with his wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, God’s guidance and the people, the state would become secure, developed, and prosperous.
Ato appealed for the support of his council ward and the entire state, assuring them that he would not fail their trust, and together, they would build the Benue they all desire.
This support was expressed during a consultation meeting held at the residence of Hon. Christiana Amile in Iwarnyam Council Ward when Ato presented his intention to contest the Benue 2027 governorship election
