The name, Ahmed Usman Ododo before the Governorship Primaries of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kogi State, was not known to many Kogites – though he has always been there as a humble fellow who does his things silently.
The jingles of his name began to ring in the ears of Kogites after he was announced as the sole candidate of the Party and his emergence suddenly steered controversy amongst Politicians, other contestants, supporters and the citizens alike.
This controversy was not far fetched from the fact that there were other persons whose publicity both off and online has long been ringing in the ears of the people but be it as it may, “it is God that gives power to whom He wishes” and Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo was chosen to fly the Party’s flag in the Contest and he subsequently emerged winner of the Governorship race in Kogi State.
The choice of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Successor of the then Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello came as a shock and surprise to many, raising questions of “who is Ododo”, “What can he do” with others commenting “he has no charisma”, “he is too gentle and quiet”, and so many other side talks.
After his assumption of Office, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo hits the grounding running in a quiet and silent mood. Before we could say Jack-Robinson, Ododo’s silent activities began to attract positive comment from Kogites and Nigerians especially the prompt payment of Workers Salaries and subsequent increase inline with Federal Government’s directive.
There is no doubt that there are challenges especially in the area of security but he’s making efforts at eradicating it and ensuring the culprits are sent packing to enable Kogites sleep with their two eyes closed. He is taking the battle to the doorsteps of the hoodlums and with that, he’s showing the whole world that Kogi is not where criminals can hide to be carrying out their activities. It is important that all of us in Kogi State work collectively to expose the bad eggs amongst us by informing security agencies of any suspicious persons and activities so that we can have a more serene society.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been very humane, gentle, humble but full of action in the areas of youth empowerment and placing women in the lime light of politics. Kogi State is very happy to have the FLOWER BOY and as a group – Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, we are proud of him.
It is always easy to criticize but given same opportunity, how many can maintain their humility as Ododo is doing today? Ododo has been a good listener that is why he is achieving a lot in the areas of road infrastructure, youth Empowerment, Education, in the Civil Service, and so many sectors of the State, he is doing creditably well.
With his achievements so far, he has been able to prove all doubting Thomases Wrong and also silenced all negative voices about his choice as the Governor of Kogi State. He have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that his coming is a blessing to the Confluence State and there wouldn’t have a better time than.
In view of his achievements so far, Kogites are solidly behind him and we are ready to cast our votes for him to again, come and serve us in 2027 because we are sure he will do more for us. By the grace of God at the end of his second tenure, it will be the turn of Kogi West, a people that have been committed and loyal to the Leadership of the Ebiras in the Confluence State.
