It amuses us each time we see people who are best as political onlookers making political calculations or decisions based on THEIR ignorance.
Such is playing out now, that a lot of people from different angles, e.g ethnic, religion and Party, are racking THEIR brains on who will emerge as the NEXT Governor of State even when the incumbent, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo is YET to complete the envisioned “TWO TERMS” that is constitutionally allowed for elected political office holders in our political space.
Interestingly, majority of those making suggestions, calculations, and prophecy of who will emerge as the NEXT Governor of the State are beer parlor, football viewing Center fans, people who gathered under trees, where they play other Games. Others are POLITICAL analysts of the Post Graduate School of Paraga POLITICAL Academy.
They have all forgotten that the decision of who gets what or becomes anything in politics is determined by the POLITICIANS or Which ethnic group or religious sect determines that during elections?
Now let us get to the MATTER at hand which is the unholy Clarion call by some set of people earlier discussed in this write up. For avoidance of doubt, the cordial relationship and political synergy the Western Senatorial district is forming with the Central Senatorial district under the leadership of FGYB is the ONLY SURE bet for an Okun or Kogi West Governor to emerge o!
It will interest all of us to know that the Eastern Senatorial district is bent on returning to power and will scuttle any ALLIANCE between the Western and Central Senatorial districts because they know that if it works, it MEANS an ultimate END to THEIR political stronghold on the State.
We are not saying Faleke is not doing creditably well. In fact, he is performing awesomely that Eko for SHOW political family will not want to lose him to Kogi State. It will even be a big shocking bubble for them to lose a political Akikanju like him.
What we rather suggest is that he should continue his Giant strides of delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency who have held him in TRUST with THEIR cherished mandate for MORE than Four record TERMS.
This proud Okun political Ambassador should aim for a higher political Office in Lagos where he reigns like a Colossus, eg Senate or even, the GUBER seat since he is a close confidant of the JAGABAN political DYNASTY.
He should not allow people with no grassroots political recognition use his soaring popularity and closeness with the Presidency to curb their insatiable stomach infrastructure hunger by coercing him into ruffling the political water of the State that FGYB has been able to stabilized.
The cordial relationship and perfect political synergy existing between the Western and Central Senatorial district is giving the Eastern Senatorial district great political nightmare and will do everything humanly possible to thwart the relationship.
We MUST not allow political emotion tear down the wall of defense we are building to protect our political Future in the State by not joining our voice with ongoing project of divide and rule that the East is plotting.
Let us give the Ebiras, benefit of doubt and see if they will fail us if we support them to complete their two TERMS in Office.
On a final note, all this over reliance and dependence on an assumed Presidency backing to wrestle the ticket from Ododo might spell Doom ooo, as we might receive the shock of our lives when we face the NAKED reality that politicians can and will sacrifice even their own BLOOD to secure political relevance whenever the chips are down.
