2027: Imo APC Youth League Strengthens Grassroots Network, Deploys Operatives to 305 Wards
In what party leaders described as a major grassroots mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Imo State APC Youth League has inaugurated Booth Watchdogs and Ward Canvassers across the state’s 305 wards.
The exercise formed the highlight of the League’s Interactive Session and Banquet held at the APC Secretariat in Owerri on Thursday.
Addressing party faithful, the State Coordinator of the League, Dr. Promise Okolie, said the organisation remained committed to expanding youth participation in politics while consolidating the electoral strength of the APC across Imo State.
According to him, the League has built a formidable structure across the 27 local government areas and is prepared to mobilise support for the party ahead of future elections.
The State APC Chairman, Chief Austine Onyedebelu, who performed the inauguration, commended the Youth League for its organisational capacity and assured members that the party leadership would continue to work closely with them.
He also promised to present the League’s programmes and strategic roadmap to Governor Hope Uzodimma for necessary support.
Several government officials and party leaders attended the event, including Commissioner for Information, Hon. Declan Emelumba; State Secretary of the APC, Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim; NDDC Representative, Hon. Kyrian Uchegbu; and representatives of the APC Youth League national leadership.
The programme featured discussions on youth inclusion, grassroots mobilisation and strengthening party structures across the state.
Awards of recognition were later presented to Chief Austine Onyedebelu, Hon. Kyrian Uchegbu, Chief Mrs. Chika Ibekwe and Prince Amako Osinachi for their contributions to the Youth League and the APC in Imo State.
