The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the House of Representatives in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Adamu Ahmed Danjuma, popularly known as Quincy, has donated solar-powered streetlights to Sensenyi community in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Residents of the community described the gesture as timely, noting that it came at a period when they felt neglected by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly the incumbent lawmaker representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye.
According to community members, Hon. Quincy had earlier pledged to provide 12 solar streetlights to Ozi and Sensenyi communities during a recent visit, and has now fulfilled that promise.
The 12 units of solar streetlights were delivered on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, through former Executive Chairman and erstwhile Special Adviser, Hon. Isah Abdulkarim, popularly known as ECOMOG.
Speaking during the presentation, ECOMOG said Quincy remains committed to improving the welfare of communities across Kogi Local Government and is prepared to do even more if given the opportunity to serve.
He urged residents to support Quincy’s candidacy, describing him as a leader with genuine concern for grassroots development.
In appreciation, youths, women, and elders of Sensenyi community commended the ADC candidate for the intervention, describing him as a leader sent to restore the community’s lost glory.
They pledged their support for his political ambition and assured him of their loyalty in the forthcoming election.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Isah Zakari said the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, had made several promises to the community in the past but failed to fulfill them despite repeated appeals.
He expressed optimism that Quincy’s intervention marked the beginning of meaningful development in the area.
