The Director-General, Kogi State Utility Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency (KUIMCA), Hon. Taufiq Isa has felicitated with Muslims in Kogi State and across the Country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, urging them to uphold the values of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion that the festival represents.
In his Sallah message, the KUIMCA DG described the celebration as a period for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to communal harmony.
Hon. Isa also extended congratulations to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and former Governor – Yahaya Bello (F-GYB), commending their leadership and contributions to the State.
He said their efforts in fostering peace and development provide a foundation for citizens to pursue collective progress, and called on residents to support government initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.
He emphasized that the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha should translate into practical acts of kindness, especially toward the less privileged.
According to him, sharing with neighbors, supporting vulnerable families, and resolving differences peacefully are practical ways to sustain the goodwill of the season beyond the festivities.
Hon. Taufiq prayed for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Kogi State and Nigeria at large, encouraging the people to remain hopeful and work together across religious and ethnic lines to address shared challenges and build a stronger community.
Eid-ul-Adha, interpreted as “Festival of Sacrifice” is the most famous event in the Islamic religion as Muslims all around the world observe the holy festival by praying and giving alms in addition to the sacrificial slaughtering of animals.
