2027: Abdulmaleek Berates Rep. Ari, Says Third-Term Bid ‘Won’t See Light of the Day’

A youth from Umaisha District in Toto Local Government Area, Iliyasu Abdulmaleek, has criticised the third-term ambition of the member representing Toto/Nasarawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmumuni Ari, declaring that the move will not succeed.
Abdulmaleek, who spoke on behalf of a group of concerned youths, said the people of Toto LGA have resolved to chart a new political course aimed at protecting their interests and securing a better future for the next generation.
He described the lawmaker’s performance as disappointing, arguing that it does not justify another mandate.
Speaking on the forthcoming electoral process, Abdulmaleek maintained that Ari has failed to demonstrate the leadership capacity and effectiveness expected of his office, stressing that the constituency deserves a more competent and visionary representative.
He called on voters and stakeholders to reject any campaign supporting a third-term bid, insisting that the future of the constituency should not be entrusted to a leader who, in his view, has not delivered adequately.
Abdulmaleek further urged the electorate to prioritise accountability, credible leadership, and tangible development outcomes as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
