2027 Poll: PDP may’ve 3-4 governors by Election Day

Chairman of the PDP in FCT, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed Yenche, stated during a press briefing at the state party’s secretariat in Abuja, on Sunday, while reacting to a newspaper report and some online media that INEC has disqualified the PDP from contesting the forthcoming chairmanship election in FCT.

He said the newspaper and online report making rounds the social media that the PDP has disqualified from participating in the forthcoming area chairmansip council election is false and should be disregarded.

He said all the PDP chairmansip and councilorship candidates nomination forms across the 62 political wards have been duly approved and signed in by the Damagun-led National Working Committee of the party.

According to him, the legitimacy of both the chairmansip and councilorship candidates has been sealed with the official stamp of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He said the party is surprised that its opponents are rattled by the strength of the PDP chairmansip candidates in winning the six area councils at the polls.

“And is obvious that our party’s opponents have resorted to their tired tactics of misinformation. While in their desperation, they peddle fake reports and malicious propaganda, seeking to cast doubt on the eligibility of our candidates,”he said.

He added” FCT PDP is not merely participating in the forthcoming area councils elections; the party is marching forward with the clear intention to win, and to win handsomely.,” he said.

The PDP chairman, therefore, called on members, supporters as well as stakeholders of the party across the FCT to discregard the fake news making rounds some media that party may be disqualified in the forthcoming election.
